.:: Formosa Taiwan@ Kuchai Lama ::.

Hello... hello... Taiwan food here I come!!!, that was what was on my head today.

My sister insisted that we go to this Taiwan food place at Kuchai Lama that she had tried before with her colleagues a few weeks ago.

So here we are:

Price at RM 4.20.

This is always my must have whenever we visit a Taiwan Restaurant. Bubble tea is my favourite. Obvious by it's name bubble(tapioca flour) tea, it's a great combination when it's paired with green tea.

This particular green tea can be compared to the one we normally have at Chatime too. My other favourite bubble tea will be T@Time Station. Price is rather reasonable too ^^.

Price at RM 4.90.

This is also a must have at a Taiwan Restaurant. The name of this dish is called Braised Pork Rice. For me, the whole dish is balanced, as it is accompanied with salty vegetables to overcome the oily feeling from the fats of the braised pork. The whole dish is really like a home comfort food.

Price at RM 6.90.

Another dish that we had was the Dry Noodle Pork Sauce. It's actually the same sauce as the braised pork from the rice, so it's also a great taste with the noodle too. I prefer the noodle and my sister prefer the rice.

We also had 3 side orders:

Price at RM 10.00.

This dish Fried Eggs with Taiwan Sausages was superb and was really different from what we normally have at pasar malam(night market) or those we normally had with shabu-shabu(steamboat). It has a very lightly spiced taste and the color as you can see above wasn't that reddish. It was just pale and goes very well with the color from the eggs too.

Price at RM 6.90.

We had also ordered the Taiwan Chicken Fillet, and both of us agree unanimously that it tasted far from nice. It was bland in taste and dry. Pasar Malam Uncle Bob should be given a better credit.

Read my post on Uncle Bob.

Price at RM 13.00.

Our next dish was the Fried Oyster. The fried oyster on the other hand was alright on the first few bites. After awhile indulging on this particular dish is not a decent one as it was rather oily, not to forgotten the fried eggs with Taiwan sausages was also on the oily side. My sister even felt like vomitting after a few bite of this particular dish.

The picture of the three side dishes was superb, but look can be rather deceiving too hehe.

How sweet we were also given desert at the end of the side dishes. The fruits felt rather "old", as we felt it was left in the fridge for quite some time already.
